ANDREW SANTOS

Academy Coach

Coach Andrew is an alum of FC Copa Academy and now joins us as an Academy Staff Coach. He attended John F. Kennedy Memorial High School where he played four years at the varsity level. He was named captain of the team his junior and senior years.

FC Copa Academy has been the home for Coach Andrew since he was  14. He played for the Pumas and Forza in his time here. In his junior year of high school he went and trained at the Sporting CP Academy in Portugal. Coach Andrew continued to play for the club as a part of the Elite Collegiate Program U23 Men’s Team.

Coach Andrew graduated from Manhattan College with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and received his minor in Digital Media Arts. Andrew went on to play four years of Division I college soccer in Riverdale, New York. He proved to be a crucial piece in Manhattan’s success through his four years with his play, leadership and determination. Coach Andrew was a MAAC Tournament Finalist in his freshman year and a MAAC Semi-Finalist, arguably the team's best season, during his junior year. His college career was topped off with a great senior year where he received the team's Most Valuable Player of the Year Award for the 2014 season.

Coach Andrew has been involved in many programs here at FC Copa Academy. He has helped run and lead our Technical Training, Junior Academy, Striker Program, and Speed & Power Program. He is a Futsal Academy coach and has been apart of our FC Copa Academy Camp Staff.
 

Coach Andrew was recently named on EDP’s Promising Young Coaches Under 30 List for the 2020 year. 

Coach Andrew currently holds the USSF National "D" License, NSCAA Level 1 Diploma, and an NJYS “E” License.
