JONATHAN YAZO
“Hard work beats talent, when talent does not work hard”
Born in Colombia, Coach Yazo has had a passion for futbol from a very early age. Upon arriving in the US he began playing youth soccer for the North Bergen Devils. Under the guidance of Coach Norberto, he developed discipline, hard work, teamwork, confidence, and technical ability. His playing career then saw him join the NY/NJ MetroStars U18 & U16 Academy teams alongside many other talented players in the tri-state area. Coach Yazo credits his coaches at Cliffside Park High School (Jim Fucci & John Lombardo) for the care & determination he now has on his players.
Coach Yazo was given the chance to continue his playing career at Ramapo College by Coach DJ. He is grateful to clubs such as Morristown Colonials, Clarkstown, Icon FC, FC Motown and others around the area for providing the opportunity to continue playing at a high competitive amateur level. Along with coaching multiple teams at FC Copa, Coach Yazo also plays on our NJ Copa Men's Team.
