FC Copa Academy is a professional soccer organization founded in 2004.  We are a soccer family consisting of over 750 members from the ages of 5 to 19 that come from all areas of NJ, NY, and PA.  In addition to the youth academy, FC Copa Academy provides a pathway into the college, semi-pro, and professional levels its New Jersey Copa FC collegiate programs (U20 and U23) all the way to the USL League Two (men) and UWS (women) teams.

​We are a year-round soccer development program assisting players in reaching their greatest potential.  The focus is on educating the complete player with a knowledgeable and caring staff.  FC Copa Academy fields both boys and girls teams in each age group from U7 through U19 and beyond.  FC Copa Academy teams compete in premier level leagues, tournaments, showcases, and competitions locally, regionally, and nationally.

Since its inception in 2004, FC Copa Academy has appeared in 26 state, 19 regional, and 7 national finals & championships while having one of the highest college placement rates in the country, both soccer and academic having placed over 400 students into 153 collegiate programs.
 

For us to be successful at this, Copa is one of the only clubs that has a full-time Director of Academic Guidance, who works to help players find the right college fit that meets their athletic ambitions, and most importantly their academic ones. We guide our players through their formative years to ensure that they understand the importance of their effort in their academics from the youngest of ages. As they move into their high school years, we strive to put our athletes in the best positions to receive the maximum amount of exposure to collegiate coaches while focusing their attention on their academics to an even greater degree. Our goal is always to assist our student-athletes in putting themselves in the best position for them to fulfill their dreams!

Our teams train year-round in state-of-the-art facilities at Rutgers University in Piscataway, NJ. Our player development focuses on technical, tactical, mental, and performance training. We aim to have all our players get the most out of training, improving their skills with each session. In addition, our goalkeepers are provided with specialized training that is always led by a dedicated goalkeeper coach. All of our teams train to compete at the highest levels, including the National League, EDP League, State, Regional and National Competitions as well as making countless appearances in prestigious tournaments and college showcases, not only domestically but internationally.

Our youth teams have won countless premier tournaments, national-level showcases, US Youth Soccer & US Club State Cups, and US Club Regional & National titles. We have also had numerous teams ranked #1 in New Jersey and #1 in US Region 1 by GotSoccer. All throughout the club, our teams are consistently ranked within the top 10 in New Jersey.

FC Copa Academy has also developed 24 professional players, 8 of whom have traveled to play with their national teams, and 2 of which have been selected to attend the U17 U.S. National Team residency program.

The FC Copa Academy's soccer curriculum is the foundation of our development program. We strive to focus on a high technical proficiency and a possession-based style that encourages creativity. The culture of the organization reflects our view that the necessity to win every game is not a goal: we view winning as an outcome of the development that the club focuses on. FC Copa Academy is devoted to the growth and advancement of every player, from our very youngest to our most senior athletes. The FC Copa Academy philosophy of development is transmitted through each team, regardless of their age or gender.

Every member of the FC Copa Academy staff is highly qualified and carefully selected, every coach is a USSF and/or NSCAA licensed coach. Numerous coaches have professional, collegiate, high school and regional ODP coaching experience. What sets our staff apart is the energy and passion we have for the care and development of all our athletes, striving for them to become their best selves as individuals. Our coaching staff communicates a clear vision for individual players and teams with expectations and objectives to achieve throughout each respective year.
