Hailing from Sligo, Ireland, Aidan brings a lifelong passion for soccer and a wealth of experience from across the globe.

 

Aidan's coaching journey began in London, where he honed his skills as a data and set piece analyst, working meticulously to understand the intricacies of the game. His analytical prowess and attention to detail quickly caught the eye of FC Melita in Malta, a professional team in the first division, where he was offered the opportunity to spearhead the analysis department. In this role, Aidan played a pivotal role in shaping the team's tactical approach, utilizing data-driven insights to optimize performance on the field.

 

Eager to expand his horizons and delve deeper into the world of coaching, Aidan made the bold decision to join the Barcelona Academy in Dubai. This experience proved to be transformative, as Aidan immersed himself in the renowned Barca methodology, which places a strong emphasis on possession-based football and technical excellence. Under the guidance of top-level coaches, Aidan gained invaluable knowledge and insights that would shape his coaching philosophy for years to come.

 

During his time with the Barcelona Academy, Aidan not only refined his coaching skills but also developed a deep understanding of player development and mentorship. He learned the importance of fostering a positive and nurturing environment for players to thrive, instilling in him a strong sense of responsibility as a coach.

 

Overall, Aidan's journey from London to Malta to Dubai has been marked by a relentless pursuit of knowledge and excellence. His diverse experiences have equipped him with a unique blend of analytical prowess, tactical acumen, and a deep understanding of player development, making him a valuable asset to FC Copa.

 

Having recently coached the USL2 Men's team in the summer of 2024, as well as coaching youth teams throughout NJ Central and NJ West. Aidan has already made a significant impact, guiding teams to impressive performances including the B06/07 ECNL RL team to the Regional Finals in the 24/25 season. His exceptional leadership qualities and tactical acumen make him the ideal FC Copa Academy coach for our USL Academy team in the summer of 2025 as well.

Aguas highlighted Aidan's impressive track record, citing his proven ability to motivate and inspire players to perform at their best. As the Director of Operations for our club, Aidan will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our academy teams. Having had experience in both the USL2 and USL Academy Aidan stated confidently. "Our objective extends beyond merely creating a pathway for our academy players; we aim to achieve resounding success on the field. I am eagerly anticipating the opportunity to collaborate with the exceptional group of coaches and players at FC Copa. Together, we will strive for excellence and leave an indelible mark on the leagues we will play in. I am grateful for the opportunity to join FC Copa. We will focus on building a strong culture and work tirelessly to maximize the potential of every player at the club. I am confident that with hard work, dedication, and a strong team mentality, we can achieve great things."
