David Snyder

Academy Coach

Dave Snyder is a veteran coach with over 25 years of experience at the high school level and he is also the Director of Coaching and Player Development for the New Providence Soccer Club. During Dave's coaching at the high school level, the teams won the 2007, 2009, and 2019 state championships while earning the overall #1 ranking as the Star-Ledger "New Jersey Team of the Year" for two of those three titles. While serving as an assistant coach, teams earned five county championships, many conference championships, and has been ranked in the top ten in the country several times within the past 10 years. The 2019 was particularly special as the high school team won their conference, county, and state championship, while witnessing three players earn First Team All State Honors with one earning the New Jersey Player of the Year. 

Following the 2015 high school soccer season, Dave was recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America as the National Assistant Coach of the Year for the East Region. In 2018, Dave was inducted into the Seton Hall Prep Hall of Fame for the impact he has had on the program and for the passion he exudes for it. 

Additionally, Dave has adapted the youth development program in New Providence to the US Youth Soccer and USC (formerly the NSCAA) player development standards and continues to develop the coaching acumen of the parent coaches in NPSC by running coaching clinics and disseminating the most current and effective soccer coaching methods.
