Denzel Saenz brings a strong combination of playing experience and youth coaching expertise to FC Copa. With a playing background that includes experience in both elite and second-division environments in Costa Rica, Saenz brings a firsthand understanding of the demands, discipline, and commitment required to develop within the game.

As a player, Saenz competed with Saprissa Elite A, Santos de Guápiles, Brujas FC Elite 91, Saprissa’s second-division side, Barrealena, and San Rafael. His experience across multiple competitive levels has provided him with a broad perspective on the game and the pathway from youth soccer to higher levels of competition.

Saenz has also developed an extensive youth coaching background with FC Neshanic, working with teams across multiple age groups. His coaching experience includes the 2009 team representing Olympique Marseille, the 2011 team representing Napoli, the 2013 team representing Dortmund, and the 2014 team representing Saprissa.

As a coach, Saenz emphasizes player development and creating a strong foundation for young athletes as they progress through different stages of the game. His experience across multiple age groups allows him to adapt his approach to the needs of each team while helping players develop technically, tactically, and competitively.

Saenz holds a United States Soccer Federation Grassroots License covering 4v4, 7v7, 9v9, and 11v11 formats, as well as a USSF National D License.
