KATIE RYGIEL
Manager of Marketing
& Social Media | FC Copa Academy

Born and raised in Hillsborough, New Jersey, Katie has grown up surrounded by the same local sports community that FC Copa Academy proudly serves today. Her connection to athletics and passion for creative storytelling have shaped her journey from student-athlete to sports marketing professional.
A graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey, Katie earned her B.A. in Communication Arts with a concentration in Visual Communication Design and a minor in Sports Management. During her time at Ramapo, she worked with the New York Boulders, Ramapo College Athletics, and Ramapo College Communications and Public Relations, where she created digital content, photography, and social campaigns that captured the excitement of the game and celebrated students and athletes at every level.
Though not a soccer player herself, Katie was a four-year starter and three-time First Team All-NJAC selection for Ramapo’s softball program, playing in every single game of her collegiate career. She helped lead her team to three conference championships and three NCAA tournaments while holding five school records. Competing at the collegiate level gave her a deep appreciation for teamwork, discipline, and the drive to improve, qualities she carries into her work every day.
At FC Copa, Katie leads the club’s marketing and social media initiatives, overseeing creative strategy, digital storytelling, and brand development. Her experience as an athlete allows her to approach content through the eyes of the players, families, and fans, helping to authentically showcase the heart and culture of the club.
Katie’s goal is to continue growing FC Copa’s presence while capturing what makes the organization special: the dedication, unity, and passion that connect every member of the Copa community.
