This past week 6 teams within the FC Copa Academy girls program had the opportunity to travel to Orlando to participate in the Disney Girls Soccer Showcase, January 15th - 17th. Our G06 Black and G06 Gray finished first in their brackets while the G07 Gray finished third. The showcase is the ultimate place for some of the top clubs in the country to be seen by some of the best college programs in the country. FC Copa Academy was fortunate enough to be represented in this event by 6 of our teams and represent they did. FC Copa sent the G07 Black, G07 Gray, G06 Black, G06 Gray, G06 Gray Millstone, and G05 Black to this amazing event.
In the end, the girls played with passion and respect for themselves and their opposition all weekend. Coach Roberto Executive Director of Coaching and Coach of the G06 Black said, "It was great to have such a large representation of FC Copa girls teams at Disney last week! The competition was of a high level and the girls on both 06 Black and 06 Gray demonstrated their quality by winning their respective brackets. The quality of the Disney Showcase experience was impeccable as always and we look forward to getting going with the spring season in the upcoming weeks.
