A successful tournament weekend on our Girls side which saw our 2009 Girls Academy finish as Finalists in the EDP Fall Classic.
The girls who were led by new arrival, Coach Shutt, who as a team handled stiff competition from NYE & NJ exceptionally well.
They were not short of goals as they scored a total of 7 goals in the four games. Here are a few words from Coach Shutt:
"Working with the girls over the weekend was an absolute pleasure. They worked incredibly hard and deserved all the success they achieved. They are an exciting little group."
To add to that, Our Girls 2008 Millstone Gray team competed in the second highest bracket for their age group at the EDP Fall Classic. The girls faced competition from quality opposition, coming from three different states (NJ,NYE, & PAE).
Coach Vinny looks back on the weekend:
“The team experienced a range of emotions with a dramatic late game goal to win their first game, but then succumbed to a late goal in the final. The game results re-emphasized the importance of maintaining focus, motivation, and effort from the beginning of a match to the final whistle. They will be stronger from the experience in the future and form countless memories from the weekend to think back to in the future.”
We congratulate the Girls on their weekend and look forward to continued success both on and off the field.
