Our 2005B PRE USL Academy participated in the PA Classics College Showcase over the weekend. Our boys finished the weekend top of their group in the Boys U17 “Platinum” bracket.
Having played three games in two days, the boys had their work cut out for them against top competition from PA & NJ. Nevertheless, the boys managed two wins and one draw in all three games.
There was no shortage of goals as the team managed to score a total eight goals, and conceded only one in the process.
Led by Coach Fernando and Coach Haris, Here are their thoughts on how the weekend went:
“The boys showed a great deal of determination to walk away as bracket winners this weekend. We were especially pleased with the boys' urgency to maintain possession of the ball and regain it quickly when it was lost. All three of our opponent’s approaches were different so credit to the boys for adjusting their play to get a result in each match. There is a solid core within this team that we will look to build off of as we continue to work together.”
