FC Copa Alumna Nicole Baxter has signed on to return to Sky Blue FC for the 2021 NWSL season. Baxter made a lasting impression on this Sky Blue team during her two stints with the club in 2020. An impressive performance against the Chicago Red Stars saw her finish the match with over 80% passing accuracy, capturing the attention of the league. which has led to the club committing to her on this new two year contract. Nicole Baxter was a standout member of NJ Copa FC in the UWS and credits her time with FC Copa for landing her a professional playing opportunity in Europe. “My film from my time with NJ Copa FC is actually what got me my first opportunity in Europe, so I really credit Copa and the UWS for giving so many of us the opportunity to continue playing at a high level. Leagues like the UWS are so important for the development of American players, and being on that NJ Copa team with so many talented players helped my career tremendously.” Nicole began her professional career in Sweden with Telge United FF where she racked up three goals and six assists, she then moved onto Asarums IFFK before landing in NWSL.
