FC Copa Academy is proud to congratulate our G06 ECNL RL team for their outstanding performance at the 2024 Jefferson Cup Showcase this past weekend. Their performance not only earned them the finalists position, but also garnered attention from college scouts and talent evaluators in attendance.
The Jefferson Cup Showcase, held annually in Richmond, Virginia, is one of the nation's premier youth soccer tournaments, attracting top teams from across the United States. Renowned for its high level of competition and unrivaled scouting opportunities, the Jefferson Cup provides a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and compete against some of the best teams in the country.
Coach Roberto's comments on the weekend:
“We are proud of the performance displayed by our G06 ECNL RL team at the 2024 Jefferson Cup Showcase. Their undefeated streak throughout the tournament is a testament to the exceptional talent and hard work they've exhibited on the field this year. Going into their final year in youth soccer they continue to showcase a blend of disciplined defense, fluid midfield play, and clinical finishing in the attacking third. At the Jefferson Cup Showcase, our girls rose to the occasion, showcasing their competitive edge and determination against some of the nation's best teams with wins vs the #5 team in Virginia, the #4 team in Maryland and the #1 team in Ohio. As we celebrate their achievements, it's clear that their years at FC Copa Academy are culminating in a great senior season as they prepare to move into college soccer."
