With a 1-0 win, this past weekend, the FC Copa Academy G2006 NL PRO team completes their USYS National League P.R.O. season with 7 Wins 0 Losses, and 23 Goals For and 0 Goals Against (the only team which did not allow a goal in the age group), winning their bracket and qualifying for the 2022 @usyouthsoccer Nationals.
In its inaugural year, the USYS @nationalleaguesoccer P.R.O. 2006 age group competition consisted of 48 teams from around the country which included the reigning national champions and multiple regional & state champions.
After two events held in both Florida and Arizona, the FC Copa Academy G2006 team won 3 games at each event with the bracket championships coming down to the match. Playing the second team in the bracket, the match as expected proved to be a close one.
FC Copa Academy VP and G2006 Assistant Coach @lori.berman stated, "We could not be prouder of this group of young ladies. Like many teams at this level, they have gone through much adversity to get here and found a way to succeed at every turn of this challenge."
The team now turns their focus to completing their @edpsoccer USYS North Atlantic Conference Club v Club season as well as the @njyouthsoccer State Cup.
