Calum Sinclair

Technical Director FC Copa Greater Flemington

Welcome Calum

This coming season you will see some new faces coaching on the pitch for FC Copa Academy and one of those is Calum Sinclair. Sinclair joins FC Copa after serving as Regional Coordinator at NYCFC Youth Programs over the past 3 years. “Calum’s experience of coaching at a high level as well as his true professionalism and care for the families in our academy will be an asset to both our players, parents as well as coaches,” said Roberto Aguas, President of FC Copa Academy.

Prior to moving to America in 2014, Calum coached Queen's Park FC's U14 and U13 Boys Academy for 4 years. While coaching in the UK, Calum also obtained a Bachelor's degree with Honors in Sport & Physical Activity from the University of Strathclyde and, later, a Master's Degree in Sport Management from the University of Stirling.

During his time at University, Calum represented the University of Strathclyde at the varsity level for 3 years once his professional playing aspirations gave way to academic ones. The highlight of his career came with a Glasgow Cup triumph.

Upon arrival in the US, Calum worked at USA Sport Group from 2014-2019, rising to become the Soccer Education Manager before his move to NYCFC and establishing himself as an EDP coach at Summit Soccer Club and the Camp Director in Brooklyn.

Calum currently holds his USSF C License and is a candidate for the upcoming class of USSF B Licenses.

On coaching at FC Copa, Calum said, "I am excited at the prospect of leading Greater Flemington and, personally, a return to New Jersey soccer after 3 years in New York. The club has a lot of potential both in terms of quality and quantity of players. I am grateful to Roberto Aguas and FC Copa in trusting this new venture with me and look forward to the adventure together in the pursuit of excellence across the board.”
