The 2021 MLS SuperDraft presented by Adidas, is where the stars of tomorrow decide their future. FC Copa Academy’s alumnus Joe Greenspan, a member of the historic FC Copa Academy Forza U18 team, lived this in 2016 when he was selected in the second round (26th overall) by the Colorado Rapids. The former USL Defender of the Year currently plays for San Diego Loyal.
When contacted about today’s SuperDraft Greenspan remarked, “Being drafted is what gave me my first opportunity as a professional. I'll forever be grateful to the Colorado Rapis for selecting me and giving me the chance to play soccer at the highest level here in the United States.” Greenspan added, “FC Copa helped me to get where I am today, and I’ve always enjoyed my accomplishments while playing there.”
