IN FORM NEW JERSEY COPA FC GEARING UP TO TAKE ON ATLANTIC CITY FC

METUCHEN, NJ - After coming away with a five to zero victory over Electric City this past weekend the NJ COPA FC Men are hoping to build off this tremendous win as they gear up to take on Atlantic City FC on Wednesday, May 30th at 6pm.

Against Electric City, the key for NJ COPA FC was their smart, precise, and clinical attacking play. This allowed the offense to have a field day in front of goal. In order for the team to be successful against a strong Atlantic City defense NJ COPA FC will have to bring that same style out onto the pitch once again. Players such as Raphael Araujo, Anthony Ferrer, and Kevin Veliz will be looking to anchor this NJ COPA FC attack and lead the team to another three points against a quality opponent.

However, Atlantic City has some offensive threats of their own making this a great test for the NJ COPA FC defense as well. Marc Meny, Angelo Jack, and Jonathan Firmino will look to quell the strong Atlantic City attack and come away with a clean sheet for NJ COPA FC. The Atlantic City offense may prove to be troublesome for the NJ COPA FC defense. The defensive players of NJ COPA FC will be looking to make a statement and prove they can handle a quality offensive side.

When asked about the importance of this upcoming match Head Coach Roberto Aguas stated, “Every game in this league is important and should be treated like a final. You can never take any team for granted especially a side like Atlantic City with the players they have. Our attack was great last game and we will look to have that continue if we want to be able to come away with another three points on Wednesday. “

Head Coach Bill Englishby also stated, “We are looking forward to another opportunity to grow as a group Wednesday as we take on Atlantic City FC. Every game is critical in such a short season and a conference that is very competitive. We have taken a step in the right direction with our season opener and now we must be ready to embrace the next challenge as we take on a very good Atlantic City FC. The group is gelling well so early in the season and it’s a credit to the personalities we have and the work they have been putting into training.”
