The New Jersey Copa FC U23 Black team, coached by Jen Vroman, is currently undefeated and in third place in Bracket A of EDP’s U23 League with two games remaining. “These two teams serve as a crucial link in the FC Copa pyramid as targets for our girls academy players en route to supporting our UWS roster,” stated New Jersey Copa FC Sporting Director Roberto Aguas. “On behalf of the entire FC Copa organization, we congratulate head coaches Mary Hearin and Jen Vroman for guiding their respective teams to successful 2021 seasons and the Copa Players on both rosters who have contributed to these incredible accomplishments.”
UWS2 is a national league that serves as the official reserve team league developmental and player pathway for United Women’s Soccer. The UWS2 New Jersey Copa FC Reserves finished atop the Northeast Conference with a 6-0 record amassing a goal differential of 23. “Coaching the New Jersey Copa FC Reserve team in the first season of UWS2 league play was a fantastic experience,” said head coach Mary Hearin. “We, as a staff and club, are very proud of the success the team achieved. The credit goes to the players and their willingness to commit to the culture we are building here with New Jersey Copa FC and the UWS program. I'm excited to work with the New Jersey Copa FC Reserve team again next summer and can't wait to see how the program continues to develop in the future.”
Continuing the tradition of elevating FC Copa Academy products through the FC Copa Family, Christina Leyden, Emma D’Alesandro, Sarah & Allison Cudmore all received significant minutes in the inaugural UWS2 Season. New Jersey Copa FC’s U23 Black team is currently undefeated in 3rd place with two games remaining.
"We are thrilled to see the success and value that Coach Hearin and Coach Vroman have brought to our players and our organizational pathway in their inaugural season" said Roberto Aguas.
