Phoenetia Browne, Class of 2011, looks to help St. Kitts and Nevis qualify for the 2020 Olympics

FC Copa Academy would like to highlight one of our former players, Phoenetia Browne, who will be representing St. Kitts and Nevis in the 2020 CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Championship. Browne, a Piscataway native, played at the professional level for 4 different teams. Most recently, she signed a contract with Finnish club Aland United after spending some time in Romania with FCU Olimpia Cluj.

Phoenetia graduated from FC Copa Academy in 2011 and went on to play at Columbia University for 4 years. She then played at The University of Texas as a graduate student for 1 year. After college, she came back to play for NJ Copa FC.

Browne and first-time qualifier St. Kitts and Nevis Women’s National Team will face Canada on January 29th at H-E-B Park in Edinburg, Texas. St. Kitts and Nevis are in Group B, which also includes Jamaica and Mexico. The St. Kitts and Nevis Women’s National Team are looking to make history by qualifying for the Olympics for the first time ever, which are being held in Tokyo in 2020.

We at FC Copa Academy would like to wish Phoenetia and her teammates the best of luck in the 2020 CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Championship. We are very proud to have Phoenetia be a part of our Copa Family.
