New Jersey Copa FC hosts Lancaster Inferno this Saturday evening in their 2022 home opener.
This will be the second match of the season for New Jersey Copa FC, and the first time facing off against Lancaster Inferno before traveling to their field on June 5, 2022.
The season opener on May 21, 2022 did not finish in the hands of New Jersey Copa FC. The UWS team traveled to Baltimore, MD where they faced off against Coppermine United. The match finished with a score of 1 - 0. When asked about the game, Head Coach Massimo Cedraschi said, “The women had only been working together for a week prior to our last game, so considering this, I am very pleased with the performance. With another week of getting to know each other, I am hopeful for a win this weekend.”
Lancaster Inferno opened their season with a win against Paisley Athletic FC on May 20, 2022. The game finished with a score of 1 - 0.
Last season, New Jersey Copa FC went 0 - 1 - 1 against Lancaster Inferno. The last time New Jersey Copa FC and Lancaster Inferno faced off, they were neck-and-neck competing for a win. The match ended in a tie of 1 - 1. Both teams will be fighting to pull a lead in this competition. Robert Aguas, New Jersey Copa FC sporting director, said, “ Our team is prepared to compete at the highest level. The team is extremely talented and capable of defeating an opponent such as Lancaster Inferno. There is no doubt that our team can come out victorious on Saturday.”
New Jersey Copa FC plays their next game on Sunday, June 5, 2022 against Lancaster Inferno, again. The game will take place at the Lancaster Inferno field with a kickoff time of 5:00pm.
