Video & Photo Content Internship

Term: March-August, 2021

 

Description: The New Jersey Copa FC Video/Photo Content Internship provides college credit or community service hours opportunities to Men and Women seeking to gain valuable experience and mentorship through meaningful responsibilities in the day to day operation of the Club.  The position will assist the Communications and Marketing teams in a challenging, yet inclusive and supportive environment.  FC Copa seeks applicants who bring exceptional communication skills, a positive approach to all tasks, creativity and a strong work ethic. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Available for occasional office hours (mask and COVID precautions required); however a majority of the time will be working from home

  • Attend all New Jersey Copa FC Home Matches at Saint Joseph High School in Metuchen, NJ scheduled in May, June, July (provided travel with the team to away games if attending).

  • Capture and categorize video and photography inventory

  • Work closely with Director of Media Operations on match day execution

  • Work closely with the Social Media team creating and sharing match day content

  • Participate in weekly marketing meetings, contribute to social media calendar

  • Create weekly shot list 

  • Concept and create video ideas

  • Agree to FC Copa COVID precautions policies (including but not limited to wearing with a mask at events and regular testing conducted by FC Copa)


 

Commitment and Requirements:

  • Proficiency is google G-suite (gmail, docs, sheets, pages), iMovie and adobe photoshop

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere is a plus

  • Understanding of Facebook Business Suite is a plus

  • Basic understanding of how to operate a DSLR Camera and Video Camera (equipment can be provided by FC Copa)

  • College credit available if applicable

  • Community Service Hours tracked and recognized if applicable 

  • Understanding of the sport of soccer preferred, but not explicitly required

  • New Jersey Copa FC match day apparel provided

  • Candidates receive on-boarding instruction, goal setting and personalized evaluation at the end of the commitment period

  • Candidates are expected to use a personal vehicle to events (other than away games).
