Willem Levine brings a unique combination of elite playing experience, academic achievement, and a modern perspective on player development to FC Copa Academy. A former standout youth player in the New York academy system, Levine spent six years competing with BW Gottschee before continuing his career at the collegiate level.

Levine recently graduated from Bryant University, where he competed as a Division I goalkeeper for the Bryant Bulldogs. During his time at Bryant, he balanced the demands of collegiate athletics with his studies in Data Science and Applied Mathematics, along with a minor in Business Administration. He was also inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society, and Kappa Mu Epsilon, the Mathematics Honor Society.

A former member of the FC Copa U20 team during tournament play, Levine has now returned to the club as a coach. His journey from youth academy soccer to Division I athletics gives him firsthand experience with the pathway many young Copa players hope to pursue.

As a goalkeeper and former collegiate student-athlete, Levine understands the technical, tactical, physical, and mental demands of competing at a high level. He is passionate about helping young players develop the habits, confidence, and work ethic necessary to continue progressing, while providing insight into the collegiate recruiting process and the transition from youth soccer to the next level.

Levine also brings a data-driven perspective to his coaching, with experience in Python programming and analytics. He combines this analytical background with his playing experience to bring a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to player development.

 

At FC Copa, Levine is committed to mentoring young athletes, sharing his experiences from the collegiate game, and helping players develop the technical foundation, game understanding, and work ethic needed to reach their goals both on and off the field.
