FC Copa Academy wrapped up another great weekend this summer. Three teams placed at the Central Jersey Invitational after fantastic performances throughout the two days. The Boys 2002 Red and Boys 2006 Black were both crowned champions & the Boys 2003 Red finished as finalists.
The Boys 2006 Black went undefeated all weekend taking care of each game in proper fashion. They went 3-0-0 in group play scoring 11 goals and only conceding one. They were matched up against the Group A Winner in the Final where they secured a 5-0 win to earn themselves the title.
Our Boys 2002 Red side competed in a round robin bracket over the weekend. Over four games of play the team scored 7 goals and went 3-0-1 locking in the top spot of the group.
Lastly, the Boys 2003 Red fell just short of our third championship on the weekend. They went 3-0-0 in group play, with 9 goals scored and 1 conceded. In the final they competed in a great game falling just short 2-1. A overall great tournament for this group.
Congratulations again to all the teams who competed this past weekend and we look forward to another weekend of fantastic soccer at the EDP Summer Showcase and MAPS CAPS.
