METUCHEN, NJ - FC Copa has announced the hiring of Christian Garcia as Operations Coordinator & Technical Staff Coach at FC Copa Academy Brooklyn. Garcia will oversee a number of teams at FC Copa’s Brooklyn location anchored at Aviator Sports and Events Center.
Coach Christian Garcia is a Colombian-American born and raised in Queens, New York. Before joining FC Copa, Garcia spent the past nine years coaching for various local teams in Queens and the greater New York area, guiding players to become better individuals and contributors within their teams.
Having graduated from Mercy College with a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Garcia has recently gained his US Soccer Federation D License and is looking to continue his education moving onto his C License later this year. Garcia counts Jurgen Klopp, Diego Simeone and Pep Guardiola as his influences.
"I'm very excited to be part of FC Copa, a club where they value culture and development of the player & staff,” said Garcia. "I personally want to continue to grow as a coach in order to help future generations fulfill their goals, and FC Copa Brooklyn has quickly become the right environment to provide these opportunities to its players."
