This past December the NWSL draft held its 10th annual college draft where teams have a pick or more through 4 rounds of selections. During the draft, FC Copa Academy alumnus, Sydney Cummings was selected with the 42nd pick by Racing Louisville, a club that is going into their second season in the NWSL. This past week 6 teams within the FC Copa Academy girls program had the opportunity to travel to Orlando to participate in the Disney Girls Soccer Showcase, January 15th - 17th. Our G06 Black and G06 Gray finished first in their brackets while the G07 Gray finished third. The showcase is the ultimate place for some of the top clubs in the country to be seen by some of the best college programs in the country.
