Quote about a specific coach

Over the years my coaches have always given me the opportunity to become the best player and person I could be. Whether it was advice on or off the pitch I always listened and trusted that they had my best intentions in mind. I’m extremely grateful for the amazing coaches I have the opportunity to play for.

What are your most memorable moments or experiences at FC Copa Academy?

I have many great moments with this academy, but one of my favorite moments was when we were down in Potomac for the Memorial Day tournament, and Issac Guerrero, my teammate, won a penalty and very selflessly gave me the penalty kick because it was my birthday. I scored the penalty and was incredibly happy, because who wouldn’t want to score on their birthday. The next day we ended up winning the tournament, capping off an amazing weekend.

How did FC Copa Academy help you become the player you are today?

FC Copa Academy helped me tremendously by providing an environment which breeds competition and demands excellence from each of its players.

How did FC Copa Academy help you get into the college program you will be attending?

FC Copa Academy helped me get into college by allowing me so many different opportunities to showcase my talents in front of college scouts. I learned how to communicate with college coaches which I quickly became comfortable with.

What are your thoughts and experiences on the collegiate recruitment process with FC Copa Academy? The collegiate recruitment process is something that can be very grueling and stressful, however here at Copa it becomes very manageable. When you have so many different highly skilled coaches and staff members it allows them to work with you and find a school that fits you.

What advice would you give to future FC Copa Academy athletes going through the collegiate recruitment process?

If I could give one piece of advice it would be to just trust the process. I know it sounds cliche, but if you work your tail off and allow Copa to help you and listen to their guidance then you will become successful and play at a collegiate level.
