Quote about a specific coach:

Coach David is probably the most experienced coach I have ever played under. He is able to provide information on all positions on the field. He helped me to become more ball-oriented and positionally aware. Throughout multiple games and practices, Coach David helped me to become more confident, vocal, and comfortable on the field. With his help, I was able to notice things during gameplay that I had not before. He continually helps me grow and critiques my game so that mistakes are not made.

What are your most memorable moments or experiences at FC Copa Academy?

My most memorable moment/ experience at FC Copa Academy was our undefeated season in the spring/summer of 2021.

How did FC Copa Academy help you become the player you are today?

FC Copa Academy helped me to become the player I am today by holding me accountable and helping me to be more responsible in my own actions.

How did FC Copa Academy help you get into the college program you will be attending?

FC Copa Academy helped me to get into the college program I will be attending by helping me through the showcasing process. This meant that I was able to play in front of a number of college coaches and I was able to have a formal conversation with most coaches before and after the showcase.

Share your thoughts and experiences on the collegiate recruitment process with FC Copa Academy.

The collegiate recruitment process with FC Copa can be challenging if you do not consider yourself responsible. They have many resources that can help you make the process a lot easier. Lori Berman, the Director of Athletic Guidance helped me format many letters to send to coaches that attended the showcases that my team played at. Coach David helped me to remain persistent in my emails to the coaches. To sum it up, FC Copa teaches players to be self-sufficient but is ready to help whenever needed.

What advice would you give to future FC Copa Academy athletes going through the collegiate recruitment process?

One piece of advice that I would give to future FC Copa Academy athletes would be to start the process early, preferably the spring/summer of your sophomore year. This way, coaches will be able to evaluate your ability correctly with enough time to make contact with you. Furthermore, send multiple emails, not just one. These coaches get hundreds if not thousands of emails per week.

How would you explain or describe the FC Copa Community?

The FC Copa community is more like a connected family than anything else. Players from all locations know each other and train with each other daily. The coaches at FC Copa are very knowledgeable in all aspects of the game and will instruct regardless of the situation.
